Raising Money for the Jewish Caring Network.
When serious illness strikes, the entire family is affected. Jewish Caring Network is dedicated to providing a full range of support services to families facing life-threatening, lifelong, and serious illnesses while preserving their privacy and their dignity.
I am a proud, but not very active member of the JCN Volunteers WhatsApp Group and I just want to give a shout out to Toche Tenenbaum and the hundreds of volunteers who keep JCN running every day. I can tell you that when Roche, or someone else puts a request up for help delivering birthday presents, Shabbos packages, Shaloch Manot, Shavuos Flowers, or just picking up some magazines to bring to someone in the hospital, there is always a willing volunteer, sometimes within minutes!!!!
You can be sure that your donation is going to directly help a family in need, because it seems like 90% of the work is being done by volunteers! And there is so much more being done quietly, behind the scenes, the consultations and the doctor referrals and the hand-holding of patients in hospitals (Thank you Stacey!!). The Jewish Caring Network is part of what makes Jewish Baltimore such a great place to live.
Funds raised from the JCN5K will enable us to provide programs, activities, and services to our families and lets them know we are standing beside them throughout the duration of their illness, treatment and recovery.
